Crâmpoșie Selecționată is not a grape variety you would find familiar. Grown almost exclusively in Drăgășani area, it stands out from the long list of Romanian breeds through a highly distinctive aromatic profile. The notes on the Avincis bottling wil show why.
Tasting Notes
Pale lemon with golden reflections. The aroma is strong and intriguing. Grapefruit and lemon zest over a faintly mineral character, mingle with notes of camomile, golden apple, nectarine and even a grassy edge. The palate is equally harmonious, though a tinge of green apple and the racy acidity produce a rawish experience. There is a relatively light body and a very good length.
