Deep ruby with brick tones towards the rim. Medium plus intensity, with aromas of black pepper, dark cherry, a touch of stewed fruit, green bell pepper, liquorice and sweet spices. Quite complex, with animal notes – leather, meat – and wet leaves. On the palate, spices, green bell pepper, meaty notes and black fruits – dark cherry, blackberry, stewed fruit – are accompanied by herbal nuances – eucalyptus – and hay. Tannins are quite smooth. Long finish. Very expressive of Northern Rhone Syrah – black pepper, vegetal and animal notes, high acidity, medium plus tannins.
